Based on the book by Romy Hausmann, Dear Child sets up a scenario in which viewers will relive what happened to Lena and Hannah as well as Aida and Gerd. Director and screenwriter Isabel Kleefeld adapted the book by breaking down the story by presenting each participant’s perspective.
